Culture change and Communities.i) To work with local employersto minimise the impact caused by alcohol in the workplace. ii) To reduce the impact caused by alcohol misuse in the community. iii) Advocate for change Prevention education and Young people. i) To raise awareness of alcohol related issues within the eastend. Provision of services and development. i) To work with educational establishments to minimise the misuse of alcohol. Development work. i) To bring professionals, volunteers and community participants together to drive forward practical programmes to tackle alcohol issues. ii) Work in partnership to ensure appropriate service provision for alcohol related issues. Protection controls and availability i)To promote community safety. ii) Advocate for change Current updates on action tasks Youth workers packs first training started on 23rd-24th January Survey and other licensing training information sent to 10 diferent organisations. 85 letters went out to off licensees in the area to offer free Serve wise induction training booklets. Sadie's team are working in partnership with other prevention and education teams to promote this. Sadie's teams alcohol anger management with Acu Detox sessions started January 22nd. for 6 weeks. we have at least 10 signed up. Next Cars not confirmed yet. 1 post now being advertised for EE alcohol counsellor re: Keep well 2010 contact GCA or GEAPP for details Sadie's team have agreed to go in to deliver Alcohol Awereness training and Acu Detox to the HLC's new Activity programme. The team in partnership with Scott Locke Community safety officer have completed the 2006 round up of P7 EE Olympics Alcohol keep safe input with great success. Summary available on request. Sadie's team continue with other on-going work, the advisory meeting takes place on the 18th January we will report the outcome at the EECAN meeting. |
